Data center firm Edged has completed structural work on a new facility in Iowa.
The company this week announced it has topped out the first building at its Council Bluffs data center, with the second set to be topped out in September.
“This is a significant step in our growth in the Omaha–Council Bluffs market, and a reflection of our commitment to bringing large-scale, AI-ready infrastructure to the heart of the Midwest,” the company said on LinkedIn.
Known as Project Lola, Edged is developing two buildings, each spanning around 285,445 sq ft (26,520 sqm). Located at College Rd and E Kanesville Blvd, the site will reportedly total around 200MW.
Edged broke ground in October 2025. Turner Construction is the general contractor on the project.
Council Bluffs is a city on Iowa's western border and close to Omaha, Nebraska. The Edged site was previously approved for a logistics park in 2021, but the land remained undeveloped.
Formerly known as Edged Energy, Edged is part of Endeavour, which was set up by Aligned founder Jakob Carnemark. The company has data centers either operating or in development in Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona in Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and across the US, including Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, and Illinois.
Edged also has another Iowa campus in development outside Des Moines.
